It was Reading Spirit Week

Sadly I did not get pictures of the first day which was Wacky Reader Day

Here is day two "Dr. Seuss Day".  We had three thing ones and one thing two!

Day three was "Sleep in your Pajamas Day".  Here are the Sleeping Beauties and...
  our Prince Charmings!
The last day was "Willy Wonka Day".  Two students dressed as their favorite Charlie and the Cholate Factory characters.  Here is our little "Oompa Lumpa"!

Don't forget "Charlie" with his golden ticket and winning candy bar.

Together they are quite the pair!

Pictures of the cholate fountain to come!

Gummy Bear Graphing

It's fun doing math when you have a yummy treat!

Easter

To prepare for Easter, we water color painted easter eggs and hung them from our ceiling.  Painting is so much fun, they loved it!

Let the races begin!!!

After the hunt, resting!

Graphing

Last week we started learning about graphs. In the pictures below, the students were given a handful of multi colored squares that they had to graph. Everyone had different answers, and they were all so proud of their work.

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' Birthday

On Dr. Seuss's Birthday we read many of his books.

This week we worked on the "at" word family. So it was perfect to read "The Cat in the Hat", which has "at" rhyming words in the title. We made a Cat in the Hat -at word family hat.

The 100th Day of SCHOOL!

On the 100th day of school we had many activities revolving around the number "100". In these pictures we counted out 100 fruit loops on a 100 chart. Then students made necklaces with the fruit loops. It was a fun, and YUMMY activity.

Valentines Day

We had a wonderful time celebrating Valentines day. A BIG thanks goes out to the parents on the party committe.

The party started out just opening a valentines....

It appears to be pretty organized.....

THEN.... Our tables are completely full of all kinds of goodies!

It was a great time and enjoyed by all. I love this holiday, just because it is about friendship and kindness. It is funny what one little holigram card will do. It's the little things that are so important to these kiddos.
