Apple Picking

A-P-P-L-E    PICKING TIME!!!

The day started off with a hayrack ride.

During our outdoor classroom time we made apple poems using adjectives to describe apples.

Each child picked several apples a piece!

We bobbed for apples, and only one student out of both classes was actually able to get it.  They loved getting their faces wet!  Afterwards they were able to eat their apple.

Much thanks goes to Mrs. Elizabeth Parsons for allowing our class a trip to her house.

September 11th Tribute

First Graders performed at the September 11th Tribute.
The performance was to the Lee Greenwood song "Proud to Be an American".

First Day of First Grade

I officially have all of the photo release forms, this makes me so excited to share all that we have done in our class so far.  Here are my 2012-2013 students on their First Day of First Grade!

Starbucks Rocks!!!

Starbucks Kansas has just made me the happiest teacher around!  I just might start liking coffee!!!  Got word this evening that they donated $551 to my classroom project "Counting, Adding, and Shapes Oh My".  Now I have center based math games to share with my new students next year!  It will be awesome to have this to introduce and review concepts!  Great job Starbucks, I think you Rock!  Most of all, I think it is awesome to have your support for my students!

Last Day

Thank you WeePats for helping make this a memorable year.  A special thanks for the Sandy Candy and Popsicles today!!!

To my students:  Thank you so much for being such great kids!  Each one of you has a special place in my heart.  Just might see some of you playing ball, at the park, or even at the pool!  Looking forward to bumping into you and catching up.  Have a fantastic summer, and enjoy it!

Getting ready to go home for the summer.  What a better way to celebrate than a popsicle!
